I’ve been watching the Jeremy Brett series and he was never rude to anyone. Not like the new Sherlock who seems to just be rude and mean to EVERYONE. Why? Why give this particular trait to the new Sherlock Holmes? Just curious about it - and I have to admit; I like Jeremy’s “flamey” Sherlock trait more than Benedict’s “rude” Sherlock trait. Just interesting how DIFFERENT these two versions tend to be. Good stuff either way. But I love Jeremy B. He’s awesome.

I don’t really consider him rude so much as uninterested in dancing around feelings.

Before we discovered the new TV show, my husband and I were fans of Brett. We watched his Sherlock in France when we were young, and it was so good. We also like the old Sherlock Holmes anime (with dogs). But Brett is still the best! He WAS Sherlock.
